Obituary of Peggy W Simpson

Mrs. Peggy Williams Simpson, 79, passed away in the early morning on Tuesday, November 7, 2023. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.

Peggy was born on April 10, 1944 to the late Douglas Elmo and Sara Evelyn Williams in Montezuma, Georgia. Peggy dedicated her life to serving her community as an educator. She taught Mathematics in the Houston County School System at Northside High and Northside Junior High Schools. Peggy was committed to her students' education and she cared for them deeply. Upon retiring, Peggy loved nothing more than spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and dear friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Peggy is survived by her husband of 58 years, Wayman Simpson; children: Shannon Duncan and Cliff (Seana) Simpson; grandchildren: Courtney (Daniel) Amerson, Kadie Beth (Jordan) Paugh, Caroline Duncan, Cooper Duncan, Jackson Simpson, SaraJewel Simpson, and AnnaCatherine Simpson; great grandson, Miles Amerson, and a host of extended family.
