Obituary of Jeffrey T. Deer

Jeffrey T. Deer unexpectedly passed away Saturday, September 9, 2023. He was 48 years old. A memorial service will be held at Andrew Church, 2430 GA Highway 127, Kathleen, GA 31047; on Sunday, September 17, 2023 at 1 PM. 

Jeffrey was born July 30, 1975 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late Mr. Larry Deer and Mrs. Mary Kay Deer. The beginning of Jeffrey's life was riddled with heart troubles and surgeries.  His mother began giving him action figures to draw and to occupy his imagination.  His artistic skills flourished and his passion for action figures expanded.  His collection over the years, has grown to become something quite magnificent.  His attention to others was unmatched and he was truly concerned about everyone else rather than himself.  His selfless nature was a quality not many possess, never seeking any personal gain for himself. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many and will be dearly missed by all who knew him and loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Corrie Reynolds Deer, children: David (Olivia) Collins, Christopher (Melanie) Deer, Savannah (Brian) Cash; grandchildren: Oliver, James, Elizabeth; siblings: Heather Deer, Michael Bigley and Mark Bigley; and a host of extended family and friends.
