Obituary of Mr. William Henry Winsper Jr.

Mr. William Henry Winsper Jr., 80 went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, July 28, 2023. A celebration of his life will be held in the Chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home, Monday, July 31, 2023 with Zach Ivester officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home, between 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM.

William was born in Atlantic City, NJ to the late William and Margaret Winsper, Sr. on July 16, 1943. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by several of his siblings, and daughter LaDonna Hazen. William dedicated his life to serving his community. Before moving to Georgia, William was a volunteer fire fighter in New Jersey. He then later continued to serve his community by enlisting into the United States Air Force. After the military, William settled down in Warner Robins and worked as a lead technician at Cox Cable before retiring after 38 years of dedicated service. While William devoted his life to serving others, he was a dedicated member of the American Legion and enjoyed spending time with his cherished family and friends.

William is survived by his lifelong companion Elsie "Barb" Lewis; his children Tina (Russell) Mimbs, Billy (Darcie) Winsper, Danny (Brenda) Douglas, Stevie Douglas, Karen (Lonnie) Brewer, Judy (Michael) Harmon, Robert (Laurie) Douglas, and Heather Douglas; seventeen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; sister Marilyn (Bill) Eberle; and a host of extended family and friends.
