Obituary of Edith M. Wagner

In the early morning hours of Saturday, July 22,2023, Edith M. Wagner passed away peacefully.  A funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at 11 AM at First Baptist Church of Centerville, 108 Church St, Centerville, GA 31028.  The Rev. Don Feezor will be officiating.  A visitation will take place one hour prior between the hours of 10 AM and 11 AM.  Immediately following the funeral service, the burial will take place at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. 

Edith was born November 17, 1942 to the late Mr. Alfred Harris and Mrs. Hilda Lewis Harris of Tifton, Georgia, raised in Macon, Georgia.  Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings: Lamar Harris, Laura Keefe, and Billie Burns. Edith served her community with a career in healthcare.  She was employed for many years at Houston Healthcare as a Lab Technician.  She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Centerville, attending regular services and activities.  Edith enjoyed painting art pieces, interior decorating, and gardening.  Her home and yard were the picture of style and class. She could often be found cheering on the Atlanta Braves in the spring and the Georgia Bulldogs in the fall.  

She is survived by her children: Mike Wagner of Florida, Steve (Shannon) Wagner of Florida; grandchildren: Shaw, Shea, and Shepherd; sister, Linda Knight of Kentucky; and a host of extended family and friends.
