Obituary of Carolyn Murkerson

Ms. Carolyn Rita Murkerson, 68, passed away peacefully at home in her sleep, June 25, 2023. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at 3:00 PM. The friends are welcome to greet the family at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home, Wednesday, June 28, 2023 between 1:00 PM until 2:45 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully request that donations be made to, National Kidney Foundation.

Carolyn was born in Jacksonville, FL to the late Melton and Thelma Coleman. Carolyn is survived by her cherished children, Crystal Carroll, Amanda (Quinton) Daniels, Larry (Sabrina) Murkerson, Carrie (David) Murkerson, and Marcus (Anastasia) Geiger; grandchildren, Angelina Ortega, Starlit Hutchins, Samaiyah Daniels, and Sadie Daniels; great grandchildren; Kylie, David, Dakota, Kyson, and Kamori; sisters, Ann McManus and Penny Ring, and lastly, the one she lived with, laughed with, and muddled through life with, Marie Conklin. 

Carolyn worked at Flex Steel for several years before retiring as an engineer. She enjoyed traveling to the beach where she loved watching the scenery. Carolyn also enjoyed casting a fishing line into any body of water, but most importantly, Carolyn enjoyed spending time with her beloved family and friends.
