Obituary of James L Eadie

James L Eadie, age 84, went to be with his Lord and Personal Savoir on July 27th, 2022. A funeral service will be held at Centerville United Methodist Church, August 1, 2022 at 3:00 PM. Burial will immediately follow at Parkway Memorial Gardens. The friends are welcome to greet the family at Centerville United Methodist Church, August 1, 2022 between 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully ask that donations be made to Centerville United Methodist Church , 600 N Houston Lake Blvd, Centerville, GA 31028.

James was born in Charleston, South Carolina on February 2, 1938 to the late Thomas Eadie and Myrtle Poston Eadie. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Tom, Bobby, Joe, and Harold; sister, Kitty. 
James proudly served in the United States Airforce for numerus years, and continued to serve his country at Robins Air Force Base as a Technical Engineer before retiring. James devoted is life to serve the Lord; he was an active member of Centerville United Methodist Church for several years and helped the food pantry. He also was involved with helping Meals on Wheels, Habitat for Humanity, and was a Radio Presenter with Ham Radio. Most importantly, James enjoyed spending time with his beloved family. 

James is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Virginia Mizzell Eadie; children, Virginia Gale, Donna Faye, and James Allen (Rebecca); 11 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brothers, Brit, Sidney, and Chuck Ed; sisters, Merita, Faye, and Hazel, and a host of extended friends and family.
