Obituary of Doris Kelley

Gray, Georgia – Doris Nadine Kelley, 87, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 4, 2021 with her beloved family at her bedside. A visitation with family and friends will be held on Sunday, March 7, 2021 from 12:30PM to 1:30PM at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be held Sunday at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.

Doris was born on September 5, 1933 in Lenox, Georgia to the late Ester Sumner and Arthur Howell. Doris was a charismatic individual who would help anyone out during their time of need.  She had a true servants heart and had many “adopted grandchildren” that would often times accompany the family at events. Doris loved to be outside gardening and enjoying the natural beauty of the world. She will forever be remembered for her loving personality and drive to help everyone.

In addition to her parents, Doris is preceded in death by, her beloved children, Steven Kelley, Sherwin Kelley; Sister, Ruth and her beloved grandson, Kevin.

Left to cherish her memory is her beloved husband of the last 69 years, James Kelley; Children, Tina Scarpa, Pam Kelley, Brenda Wright (James), Robert Kelley, and Trish Edenfield; her beloved 11 grandchildren, Brandy, Greg, Lauren, Staica, Kimberly, Rockne, Mitchell, Tyler, Tanner, Travis, and Taylor; Sister, Marie Hankes. Doris is also survived by, a host of extended family members.
