Obituary of Bobby Gerald Witherington

WINTER PARK, FL- Bobby Gerald Witherington, Sr., 82, passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2020. A funeral service scheduled for Wednesday, July 15 12:00PM in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. A visitation scheduled from 10:30 to 11:30 AM at the funeral home. Entombment will follow in the Glen Haven Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The Reverend Joe McDaniel will officiate.

Bobby was born March 18, 1938 in Dexter, Georgia to the late Francis Reuel Witherington and Florence Lucille Golden. He served his country proudly in the United States Army. Bobby retired from the Chrysler Corporation as an insurance adjuster. He was a member of the Tyner Baptist Church in Chattanooga, Tennessee where he served as the choir director for eight years. Bobby loved boating and just being on the water with the wind in his hair. He was outgoing, friendly, and never met a stranger. Bobby loved everyone and known for having such a beautiful voice. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather and missed by all who knew him.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 49 years, Connie Smith Witherington; his sons, Bobby G. Witherington, Jr. of Mississippi, Brian G. Witherington (Danielle) of Florida; five grandchildren, Adam D., Andrew D.. Kristen R., Ashleigh J., and Alyssa J.; and two great grandsons, Rilee Lucas, and Tommy James.
