I first met Leman (Mac) Mc Brayer at Westover Air Force Base, MA, in 1963 where we were both stationed. Mac and I worked together for four years doing top secret spy satellite work for the United States Government. Mac was a steady dependable technician and could accomplish the most complicated task in minimum time, regardless how stressful the circumstance.
Mac was always a pleasant person to work with and displayed a positive attitude, always showing a willingness to help and train others. His outstanding performance during his military career was definitely a valuable asset to the Air Force and the United States Government. The results of some of his work went directly to the President for decision making on national security matters.
Mac was an active alumni member of the top secret Air Force Special Projects Production Facility (AFSPPF) and attended every reunion with his wife, Alma, over a 15 year period.
All members of the AFSPPF alumni offer our condolences to Alma and the immediate and extended family. Mac honorably served his country well and deserves to rest in peace.
