Thelma will be dearly miss in Tampa by her special friend Reggie..She never looked her age and always love shoes. I was with her when she got her doggie n I told her that's a Mexican Taco Bell dog b he only knows Spanish, so she replied well, he better learned English, so I'll call him Taco Bell..do I told her well, that would fit perfect...Thelma, I was always trying to reach you but though I never knew what was going on, I just found out but you'll remain special in my heart n I'll remember the good times we had in Tampa when I met Doris, Lydia, and you, (RIP)...

I had the pleasure of caring for Mrs. Thelma. She was so full of energy and funny. Everyday I saw her, when I came in to work, I would say "Hey Thelma Pie" she would smile and say " lottie dottie"
Other times we would be on break eating lunch, she’d walk up to me & say, "ooh, you’re so pretty"
I would reply, "here Thelma, just take the fries"
She had such grace about herself. We’re going to miss her so much

Dear Thelma, it is with sadness that I learned of your passing. You were truly an influence on my life and my siblings lives. You always enter a room with so much positive energy. Your wit and intelligence always left everyone thinking or guessing. You lived a full earthly life. Now that you are in the house of God, I know you will give everyone in Heaven a run for their money. God Bless You, Love Ryan "Moochie" Mitchell

Thelma and I served together as members of the choir and Women’s Ministry. She was always willing to help. When she left Tampa, she gifted me with a book that I treasure and use to this date. Take your rest, Thelma.

Sister Thelma was a good friend of mine! She will always be in my heart. She had a big heart and a beautiful voice which I first heard from the choir at Beulah Baptist Church in Tampa. She loved the Lord and made all around her feel happy. She was a great cook and even better dresser especially her shoes. She enjoyed the finer things in life, traveling, plays, nice restaurants and shared some of those times with me! One of God’s Angels on earth who walked her talk. A great teacher she was to the young and old. God has you permanently now and your memory will be ever present with me and those who loved you dearly! Brenda Grove

My Dearest Thelma, She will always have a special place in my heart. I have wonderful memories of Thelma from a little girl taking me to Atlantic City, NJ for a WEEK. As a teenager, meeting her in Center City, Philadelphia to go to the movies to see Funny Girl with her students and as an adult going shopping at the Philadelphia Outlets just to name a few. I can recall Thelma coming to our house on a Saturday morning saying to me "come on let's go". We would hit the road flying in that blue Barracuda. I enjoyed being with her. Thelma had such a Big heart and a Big laugh. I feel very privileged that God placed this beautiful soul in my life as well as the lives of others. A job well done Thelma, take your rest, you will forever be missed.

I was so sorry to read about the passing of Thelma. She stayed at the memory care unit where my Mom stayed. I loved sitting with her while visiting our Mom. She was such a sweet lady and had the most beautiful smile. May you find comfort and peace in knowing she is in the arms of Jesus now. God bless all of you and my deepest sympathy to each of you.

Aunt Thelma, my gracious aunt, I will miss you. Your style and class will forever live on in my memory. Your beautiful signature smile was warm and was your mark of approval, and you always greeted me with that smile. Rest in Jehovah memory until we meet again.
Love you, Rae Rae

My Aunt T, I am going to miss you more than you will ever know. To say I love you is an understatement. You were and are one of the bright lights in my life. Things you have said or done YOU have never been forgotten and never shall be. i will always hold you in my heart. All the times I made you laugh, fed you to much, and held you close just so you would ALWAYS know what you meant to me.
