Obituary of Lottie R. Cantrell

Warner Robins: Lottie R. Cantrell, 82, passed away on Saturday August 12, 2006. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be private. Mrs. Cantrell was the widow of Boyd T. Cantrell Jr. She invested her life in caring for her husband, her mother, and guiding and teaching her children and grandchildren. Whether as her daughter’s Brownie Troup Leader, her sons’ Cub Scout Den Mother, or her grandaughter’s tennis ?mentor?, ?chaffeur? and ?European tour guide?, Lottie Cantrell demonstrated in these and countless other ways, her dedication to what she always said was most important: the family. Lottie Cantrell grew up in Nazi occupied Germany. Her witness to the terrors, tragedies and human triumphs of that time forged in her a courage and honesty that was apparent to all those who met her, and inspired all those fortunate enough to know her. Those include her survivors, daughter, Dodie Randy Cantrell Bickley of Macon, Buddy Brenda Cantrell III of Ocala, FL, Mike Tassie Cantrell of Ft. Valley. Grandchildren: Kristy Cantrell Willis, Mikey Cantrell, Betty Cantrell and Sophia Cantrell. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
