Obituary of Virginia Ann Tinney

Warner Robins, GA: Virginia Ann Tinney, 71, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2009, in Macon. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday at the First Assembly of God with burial in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 PM Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Tinney was born in Concord, MA. She was the daughter of the late William and Gertrude Pride Coulton. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Truman Richard Tinney and a son, Bruce A. Tinney. Mrs. Tinney was a member of the First Assembly of God and had been active in many christian singles organizations in the past. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, a former member of the Pink Ladies Auxillary at the Houston Medical Center and a member of the Centerville Senior Citizens Group. Survivors include her son, Mark Andrew Tinney, daughter and son-in-law, Leanne & Dennis Stokes all of Warner Robins, grandchildren, Sarah Stokes, Brian Stokes, Elisa Michelle Evans all of Warner Robins and Tina Marie Osborne of Athens, one brother, Edward Lee Rita Coulton of Wells, Maine. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart of Georgia Hospice at 103 Westridge Dr., Warner Robins, GA, 31088, in memory of Mrs. Tinney. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
