Obituary of Inez Feeney Ecton

Warner Robins, GA: Inez Feeney Ecton, 83, passed away Saturday, December 6, 2008, in Macon. Services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home with burial in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Ecton was born McRae, GA. She was the daughter of the late Duncan and Lola Yeomans Feeney. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Ecton, a son, Walter Merle Ocain, Jr. and three sisters. She was a member of Second Baptist Church and former supply supervisor at Robins Air Force Base. Mrs. Ecton was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 172, where she was the past president of the local, district and state ladies auxiliaries and a member of the VFW Post 6605. her volunteer work for the American Legion and Special Olympics was a source of pride for her family and friends. Survivors includes her daughter, Patricia Dean Morris of Hawaii, sisters, Betty Enlow of Iuka, MS, Margaret Stapleton of Warner Robins, Mary Stitt of Pensacola, FL, Myrtice Kirk of Warner Robins, brother, Duncan Feeney of Warner Robins and four grandchildren, Todd Morris, Eric Morris, Terra Paige, Michelle Sawyer and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Legion Post 172 @ 1345 Radio Loop, Warner Robins, GA, 31088, in memory of Mrs. Ecton. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
