Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 10, 2008 at Shirley Hills Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Parkway Memorial Gardens. The Reverend Andy Cook and Dr. Napp Granade will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6 â?? 8 PM, Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Barbara was born in Staunton, Virginia on January 24, 1932 to the late Henry Dell Harris and Elizabeth Gorman Harris and had lived in Warner Robins, GA for 43 years. She was a retired church secretary of Shirley Hills Baptist Church in Warner Robins, GA. and an active member of Shirley Hills Baptist Church. She enjoyed her hobby of playing in several local Bridge Clubs and took great pleasure in her two cats. Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Hugh B. Barker, Jr. of Flomaton, AL. She is survived by her children: Hugh B. Mike & Sharon Barker, III of Chesapeake, VA.; Robert S. Bobby & Cathy Barker of Byron, GA.; and Dell Barker South of Mt. Kisco, NY. Her grandchildren: Robert â??Bobâ?쳌 A. Barker of Arlington, VA and Stewart P. Barker and Amy C. Barker of Byron, GA. In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be made to the building fund of Shirley Hills Baptist Church, 615 Corder Road, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088 or charity of choice.
