Obituary of Edgar Thomas Cox

BONAIRE Edgar Thomas â??Leftyâ?쳌 Cox, 83, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2007. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday December 20, 2007 in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Parkway Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12 â?? 1 PM Thursday at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Mr. Cox was born on December 24, 1923 in Sanger, California. He was the son of the late Edgar R. and Ethel Ruble Cox and the husband of the late Elizabeth Nadine Stafford Cox. He was retired from Robins Air Force Base where he was employed as an aircraft mechanic, member of the NCO Club and had served in the National Guard. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Cox and a brother, Don Cox. Survivors include his children, Marilyn Cox Smith of Plano, TX, Bob Cox of Fulsher, TX and Gary Cox of Bonaire, brother, Harold Cox of Sun City, CA, seven grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
