Obituary of Charles E. Blankenship

Centerville, GA: Charles E. Blankenship, 71, passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at his home. Services will be at 11:00 AM Friday in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home with burial in Parkway Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Blankenship was born in Cochran, GA. He was the son of the late A.J. Blankenship and Daisy Allison Floyd. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Leo Blankenship. He was a retired Aircraft Master Schedular from Robins Air Force Base and retired from the United States Navy. Mr. Blankenship was a member at Westside Baptist Church. He was a loving father and grandfather. Survivors include his children Russell Melissa Blankenship of Cochran, Roby Tammy Blankenship of Montgomery, AL, Becky Karl Willard of Cochran, Donna Jon Cerasero of Jacksonville, FL, Jaqui Blankenship of Grantville, GA and nine grandchildren. Flowers will be accepted, but those who wish may make donations to the American Cancer Society at P.O. Box 4406, Macon, GA, 31208. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
