Obituary of James R. Johnson

Warner Robins, GA: James R. ?Ray? Johnson, 88, passed away Sunday, September 16, 2007. Services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday in the First United Methodist Church with burial in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 until 9 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Johnson was born in Colquitt County, Georgia to the late James M. Johnson and Fred Elizabeth Autrey. He was retired from Robins Air Force Base were he worked in the Supply Directorate. Mr. Johnson was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He served in the T.V. Ministry, the United Methodist Men and was an adult volunteer with Boy Scout Troop 58. Survivors include his children, Ellen J. Ginn of Warner Robins, James R. Johnson, Jr. Debra of Columbus, Beth J. Rickert Larry of LaPorte, TX, David G. Johnson Lynn of Warner Robins, siblings Ruth J. Strickland of Warner Robins, Mary Ann Johnson of Warner Robins, Kate Bentley of Pelham, Neil Johnson of Atlanta, Autrey Johnson of Jefferson, Oren Johnson of Albany, Wayne Johnson of Quinlan, OK, Ned Johnson of Hartsville, Fred Johnson of Pelham, 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church at 205 N. Davis Dr., Warner Robins, GA, 31093, in memory of Mr. Johnson. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
