Obituary of Billy E. Benton

Centerville, GA: Billy E. Benton, Sr., 75, passed away Thursday, August 23, 2007. Services will be at 3:00 PM Sunday in the Second Baptist Church with burial in Parkway Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 7 until 9 PM Saturday at the funeral home. Mr. Benton was born in Jackson, GA to the late Ervin and Dora Crane Benton. He was a retired Media Center Specialist from Robins Air Force Base and a veteran of the United States Navy. Mr. Benton was a member of Second Baptist Church and the XYZ Senior Adult Organization as well as the Joy Jubilee Sunday School Class. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Survivors include his wife, Corrie Ann Benton of Centerville, children Jeanie Jerry Petty of Fairhope, AL, Joanie Greg Camera of Jonesboro, Billy E. Benton, Jr. of Spring Hill, TN, Julie Alan Seals of Lexington, NC, sister, Linda Lofgren of, AL, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
