Obituary of Laura R. Mathis

WARNER ROBINS Laura R. ?Mimi? Mathis, 81, passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2007. Graveside services will be held Monday, May 21, 2007 at Andersonville National Cemetery. The Reverend Bob Norwood will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6 ? 8 PM Sunday at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. A memorial celebration will also be held on Saturday, May 26, 2007 at 2:00 PM in the cafeteria of Quail Run Elementary School. All are invited. Mrs. Mathis, a native of Memphis, TN, was the daughter of the late Wallace and Irene Craig Earle and the wife of the late Milo Mathis Jr. She was a retired secretary having worked with the Daily Sun and Cribb Realty, a toast mistress, former member of the Northside High School Booster Club, active volunteer at Quail Run Elementary School, read to four year olds at Jacob?s Ladder and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Survivors include her children; Barbara H. Sparks, Warner Robins, Beverly Hatin, Knoxville, TN, Brian R. Hatin Darcy, Warner Robins and Milo Mathis Donna, Cumming, GA. Nine Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to the Quail Run Elementary School Library, 250 Smithville Church Road, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088.
