Obituary of Claude Jay Nicely

Warner Robins, GA: Claude Jay Nicely, 45, passed away Saturday, August 20, 2005 at his residence. Services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home with burial in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 PM Monday evening at the funeral home. Mr. Nicely was born in Japan and was preceded in death by his parents Carlton and Shirley Mae Singer Nicely and his father-in-law Tommy Irby. He was employed at Robins Air Force Base as an aircraft mechanic and was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force where he earned the rank of sergeant. Mr. Nicely loved the outdoors. He was an avid golfer, fisherman and hunter. Survivors include his wife Trinnette Nicely of Warner Robins, son Greg Nicely of Warner Robins, brothers Steven Pat Nicely of Lavonia, Roy Leisa Nicely of Warner Robins, Lamonte Mears of Warner Robins, mother-in-law Jenny Irby of Gray, brother-in-law Mark Theresa Irby of Jones County, sister-in-law Kim Ron Sealey of Jones County, sister-in-law Lorrie Irby of Jones County and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at One St. Jude Place Building, P.O. Box 1000 dept. 300, Memphis, TN 38148-0552.
