Obituary of Carolyn Groves Gallelty

Bonaire Carolyn Groves Galletly, 91 passed away Monday, March 31, 2008. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, April 3, 2008 at Bonaire First Baptist Church with Rev. Sydney Odom and Rev. Kenny Rodgers officiating. Interment will be held in Bonaire Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Mrs. Galletly was a native of Vienna, GA. However, most of her life was spent in Bonaire, GA. as a homemaker and house wife. She was also employed as a public relations person for the Chamber of Commerce. She was preceded in death by her husband, Collin C. Galletly Sr., parents Willie and Lucile Groves, brothers Henry Groves and William C. Groves. Mrs. Galletly was a charter member of Central Baptist Church, Central 5-0, a current member of the Bonaire First Baptist Church, and Senior Ladies Sunday School Class. Survivors include her daughter, Laura Gene Gibson of Bonaire; son, Collin C. Becky Galletly Jr. Irondale, AL; brother Edwin Kathy D. Groves of Homosassa, FL; sisters, Betty Trammell of Stone Mountain, GA. and Lucile Flomerfelt of Oakridge, NC; grandchildren, Laurie Phil Wyatt of Macon, Trey Vivian Galletly of Marietta, GA and Laura Beth John Short of Winder, GA; three great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Flowers will be accepted or contributions to the Building Fund of the First Baptist Church of Bonaire P.O. Box 179, Bonaire, GA 31005.
