Obituary of Kathryn J. Gabriel

Warner Robins: Kathryn J. Gabriel, 86, passed away on Friday June 2, 2006 at Elberta Healthcare. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Friendship Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Macon. Revs. Paul Cowles and Tim Millwood will officiate. Mrs. Gabriel, a native of Bibb County, was the daughter of the late Sylvester and Fannie Mae Campbell Jackson and the widow of Dillard Gabriel. Her brother, Charles Edwin Jackson, preceded her in death. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church for many years where she played the piano and organ and taught the Adult Ladies Sunday School Class. She recently joined Friendship Baptist Church. She was also a piano instructor. She was the Queen of Hearts and Resident of the Year 2006 at Elberta Healthcare. Survivors include her children Sidney Carolyn Beck of Jayess, MS and Kathryn Yvonne Billy Cameron of Centerville. Siblings: Carlton H. Jackson of Warner Robins and Jeanette McAllister of Macon. Sister-in-law: Evelyn Jackson of Lizella. 10 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P. O. Box 2680, North Canton, OH 44720. Mrs. Gabriel will be placed in the church one hour prior to services. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
