Obituary of Elwood Williams

Warner Robins: Elwood ?Ed? Williams, 81, passed away on Tuesday May 30, 2006. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Parkway Memorial Gardens. Rev. Randall Nash will officiate. Mr. Williams, a native of Jackson, GA, was the son of the late Oscar and Clara Thaxton Williams. His wife Frances Moore Williams and son Kenneth Williams both preceded him in death. He was retired from Robins AFB and served in the US Army during WWII. Following his retirement he enjoyed delivering cars for local dealerships. Survivors include his children: Ron Debbie Williams, Linda Norman Ott all of Centerville, Sheila Billy Slye of Walnut Cove, NC. Daughter-in-law: Lacine Williams of Bonaire. Siblings: James Williams and Julia Tolbert both of Barnesville. Seven grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Georgia War Veterans Home, 2289 Vinson Hwy., Milledgeville, GA 31061. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
