Obituary of Cynthia R. McKnight

Mrs. Cynthia R. McKnight, 67, went to be with her Lord and Personal Savior on Thursday, June 1, 2023. A celebration of her life will be held at First Baptist Church, 210 Garmon Street, Warner Robins, GA, on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at 12:00 PM with Pastor Josh B. Kirvin, Sr. officiating. A committal service will follow immediately at Parkway Memorial Gardens. Friends may greet the family on , Saturday, June 10, 2023, between 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at First Baptist Church, 210 Garmon Street.

Cynthia was born in Rock Hill, SC to Annie (Barber) Haynes and the late James Haynes. In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her siblings: Jimmy Haynes, Charles Haynes, Mildred Haynes, and Leila Haynes. Cynthia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and dear friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Cynthia was a loving woman who took great pride in serving the Lord. She was a retired Baltimore Special Education teacher who served and taught students for over 25 years. After moving to Warner Robins, Cynthia continued to share her love for education often substituting at local schools, assisting with First Baptist Church AWANA’s and tutoring students. She touched the hearts of every one of her students. Cynthia was also a Certified Event Planner, sharing her passion and talent for planning fabulous events through her organization B.E.A.D.S. In addition to giving back to her community and church, Cynthia enjoyed spending time with her beloved family and friends.

Cynthia is survived by her cherished husband of almost 13 years, Larry McKnight; mother, Annie Haynes; sons: Marvin (Kia) McLain, Marcus McLain, and Marlon McLain; stepchildren: Tomas (Tara) Guadiano, Haley (Ian) Harvey, Joshua McKnight, and Sharday McKnight; siblings: Mary Haynes, Joyce Hernandez, Robert (Jerenda) Haynes, Vivian Brown, and Richard (Cynthia) Haynes; 14 grandchildren; and a host of extended friends and family.
