Lois Davis Ross

Obituary of Lois Davis Ross

Lois Davis Ross, 76, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2023. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.

Lois was born in Arkansas to the late Josephine and Woodrow Davis on September 23, 1946. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ronald Ross; sisters, Louise and Linda; and sisters-in-law Darlene, Jean, and Nora.

Lois loved reading, traveling, and gardening.  She was always ready for the next adventure.  She would think nothing of hopping in her truck and driving straight through to Arkansas to visit her family there.  She never met a yard sale or thrift store she didn't like.  She was an avid gardener who could grow just about anything.  Up until last month, Lois was still working at the Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter as a security guard.  She was always laughing. Lois was actively involved with stocking food pantries to help hungry neighbors.  She hated to see anyone go hungry.

Lois is survived by her children:  Sandra Ross (Charlie), Ronald Ross Jr. (Diane), Theresa Huddleston (Donnie); grandchildren: Jesse Ross (Mary), Dylan Ross (Tori), and Devan Huddleston (Meagan); great grandchildren: Sam, Luke, Rosie, Teddy, and Tobias Ross; siblings: Lorene, Lula, and Geraldine; sisters-in-law: Dale and Pam; a host of exceptional friends at the Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter, her beloved cats Smoky and Little Bit, and a great deal of extended friends and family.
