Obituary of Beverly Gunter

Beverly Joan Gunter, age 56 of Tifton died Monday September 12, 2022 at her home surrounded by family.

Joan was born December 23, 1965 in Montezuma Ga, to Bobby Helms and Doris Dillard Renfroe. She lived in Warner Robins area from 1972 until 2015, when she moved Tifton. She graduated from Northside High School in Warner Robins in 1983. She loved to sit and watch bon fires, travel with her sister and brother in law on semi runs, and most of all loved to spend time with her grandchildren. She was a very happy go lucky person until you made her mad, was well known for loving her pets Tabby, Daisy, and Pretty girl. One thing Joan loved to go to yard sales including Peaches to Beaches and attending to her flower beds, that is were you could find her doodling around for hours.

Survivors include two sons Casey (Lacey) Gunter and Adam Gunter, mother and step father  Doris (Barry )Renfroe, father, Bobby Helms, fiance Bobby Harnage, sister Janet (Johnny) Thomas, Grandchildren Preston, Kendra, Brianna, nieces Ashley and Amanda, great nephew Flint, and other family members, Amanda, Samantha, Kasi, and Toni.

Joan fought cancer for over five years. The family would like to give a special thanks to Tift County Hospice, Doctor Shak and all the staff at Anita Stewart Oncologist Center.   

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory from 3:00PM to 5:00PM.
