A visitation with family and friends will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 from 12:00PM to 1:00PM at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. A Funeral Service honoring the life of Deborah will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at 1:00PM at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Deborah was born on May 22, 1956 in Mobile, Alabama to the late George Edwin Mayo and Sara Bates Mayo. Deborah was a very loving lady who loved being surrounded by those she loved and cherished. She could often times be found in her yard planting beautiful flowers for all to enjoy. Flowers brought Deborah much joy and peace because she viewed them as the Lord’s paint in his masterpiece. She was a very selfless individual who loved caring for others in their time of need as she had a heart for service.

Deborah was a very hard working lady who had dedicated countless years of service as a civilian at Robins Air Force Base as a C-130 Planner, Sheet Metal Mechanic, as well as a Electronics Technician. When Deborah retired after her years of service she could be found traveling to small towns hunting for antiques and watching her Alabama Football. Deborah was a devoted Christian who loved and served the Lord her God with all of her Soul, Mind, and Strength. Deborah and her loving husband were faithful members of Marie Baptist Church in Dublin, Georgia where they had recently joined the Church to serve.

In addition to her parents there awaiting for her at the gates of heaven is her beloved nephew, David Walden.

Left to cherish Deborah’s beautiful memory is her husband of the last 8 years, Marty Canady; Children: Michelle Allen (Matthew), Hillary Souther (Nathan), Lori Lee (Wally), Kelly Sharp (Justin), Bryan Canady (Autumn), David Canady (Madeline); Sister, Sheryl Walden (Tim); Brother, Robert Mayo (Julie); 10 grandchildren, 3 great- grandchildren. She is also survived by a host of extended family members and countless friends.
