Obituary of Helen Dunn

Helen Valerio Dunn, 85 went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 9, 2022. A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Thursday, April 14th, 2022 at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations please be made to Sacred Heart Catholic School, 300 S Davis Dr, Warner Robins, GA 31088.

Helen was born on May 12, 1936 in New Mexico to the late Melisendro Valerio and Albina Valerio. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Darden Howlett Dunn and her son, Richard W. Powers. She retired from Robins AFB as an In-flight kitchen attendant at Wynns dining hall to finally retiring from Corky Bells in Macon, Georgia as a dedicated server. Helen was known for her strong will, faith in God and determination in teaching us all God's love. Helen was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be dearly missed.

Helen is survived by her children, Michael Powers (Donna), Diana Lawson, James Powers (Janie), Janette Carter (Kevin), Mark Powers (Donna); grandchildren, Christina, Shauna, Cory, Mark Jr., Joshua, Cory, Kara, Amber, Jacob, Ashley, Michael, Grant, James Jr., Cassie, Kaleb, Samantha, Elena, Brittany, David; 23 great grandchildren, and a host of extended friends and family.
