Obituary of Lonnie Oliff Key, Jr.

Warner Robins, Georgia – Lonnie Oliff Key, Jr. went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 9, 2022. A Memorial Service honoring the life of Lonnie will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 11:00AM at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home with Reverend Mike Stokes and Reverend Myke Harbuck officiating.

Lonnie was born on June 1, 1964 in Macon, Georgia to Darla Hatcher Key and Lonnie Oliff Key, Sr. Lonnie was a very simple man who found great joy and happiness within life’s simplicities. Lonnie was an electrician by trade for many years.  Lonnie was often thought of as a rebel with a free willed personality. He loved to have fun and never had a problem making friends. He possessed a true passion for hunting, fishing, cars, motorcycles and Southern Rock & Roll; especially the world famous Allman Brothers.  He was a hippie at heart and loved watching live music shows and attending music festivals.  In Lonnie’s younger years he could often times be found on a drag strip.

Lonnie was also very skilled when it came to grilling and he sought himself as a master meat smoker.  While he loved cooking, Lonnie is also known for his love of Chick-fil-A Spicy Chicken Sandwiches, Polly's La Mesa Restaurant in Macon, Ga. and spicy foods in general.

There awaiting for him at the gates of heaven with open arms is his beloved father, Lonnie Oliff, Sr., and his son-in-law, Chris Andrews.

Left to cherish his beautiful memory is his beloved mother, Darla Hatcher Key; Children, Danielle (James) Thompson, Loni Andrews, Joshua Key; Grandchildren, Layna Thompson, Leah Thompson, Keylie Andrews, Emily Andrews; Siblings, Kevin (Gidget) Key, and Brandon (Amy) Key. He is also survived by a host of extended family members and countless friends.
