Obituary of Scott Joseph McCandliss

Warner Robins, Georgia – Scott Joseph McCandliss, 61, entered into heaven on August 5, 2021 at Houston Medical Center. A Memorial Service honoring the life of Scott will be held at a later date.  

 

Scott was born on April 14, 1960 in Pontiac, Michigan to Patricia Armstrong and Donald McCandliss. Scott was a very intellectual individual who loved researching items and teaching others what he had learned. He was always very productive with his time, which led to his countless discoveries. Scott was a very charismatic man who loved to help others during their time of need.  

 

He was very skillful when it came to playing the piano and keyboard and he taught many different people how to play. Scott deemed music his safe place and he truly loved the art behind the music. In his free time he was often found traveling around the country making memories that would bring that infectious smile to light. He will forever be remembered as a loving son, brother, uncle, and a devoted friend to many.

  

Scott is preceded in death by his father, Donald McCandliss, and one of his lifelong best friends, Kathie Nemec.

 

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved Mother, Patricia Armstrong; Siblings, Brian McCandliss, Glenn McCandliss (Rachel), Bruce McCandliss (Vera) and Laura (Paul) DiCarlantonio. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and his lifelong best friend, Belinda Reed. 

 

The family would like to thank all of the Health Care workers who had cared for Scott and expressed much compassion during their time of loss.
