Donald Guster

Obituary of Donald J. Guster

Byron, Georgia – Donald J. Guster “The God Father”, 84, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, March 29, 2021. At the request of the family, all services will be held private.

Donald was born on September 1, 1937 to the late Minnie George and William Guster. Donald was a very down to earth man who worked very hard to be the man he was. His life first began with many hardships and working along his family in agriculture fields. However, one day he met a woman by the name of Sally that he fell in love with. While Donald worked hard to build his future with Sally, they soon got married. Upon their marriage, they went to their mobile home where Donald looked around and said, “for once in my life I have everything that I want”. Donald and Sally traveled all 50 states and made countless memories together. He proudly served his country as a machinist mate in the United States Navy upon the USS Toledo. Donald was a lifetime member of the Rancho Cordova, California VFW. He was also a member of the Warner Robins American Legion. Donald was a true American patriot who loved his country. While Donald had many accomplishments throughout his life, his most prized possession was his family and his love for his family ran deep. He will forever be remembered for his loving personality and his hard determination to provide for his family.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 59 years, Sally Guster; Son, Jeffrey Guster; Daughter, Stephanie Bonde. He is also survived by a host of Godchildren, extended family members and many friends.
