Mimi was so loved by everyone who met her, and was very special to my family. She had so much love to give! She treated my children like they were her own grandchildren always showering them with hugs and kisses and gifts for their birthdays and Christmas. When we would visit her she would always pray with them and even though they had no idea what she was saying she would keep them laughing the whole time! And we would never leave her house empty-handed! I remember when I was younger in college she and Ada would pack black beans and rice, pollo, and picadillo in little containers for me to eat. And then laugh at me because I would put it all in a flour tortilla! She will be remembered by so many for all of God’s love that she shared!

Carmen was extra especial in my life! She was a walking testimony of God's love to others. She was selfless and seemed to honor God in all circumstances. Every time I would take her out to Walmart or the Mall, she would scan the place to see if she noticed any hispanics in the area so that she could invite them to church and give them her testimony of Gods redeeming love. She was never ashamed of the gospel message "For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart". Hebrews 4:12

I loved this lady and Ada. Both touched so many as they ministered to the Hispanic communities. Their kindness and love was so evident to everyone. I am thankful that God allowed our paths to cross and we were able to meet and know each other. May God grant comfort and peace to her family and friends.
