Obituary of Lawrence J Hillock, Sr.

Lawrence J. Hillock,Sr., age 76, passed away January 15, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family. A private Graveside service will be held Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Parkway Memorial Gardens Mausoleum at 11:00 AM for family only. Larry was born in Buffalo, New York, on October 19, 1944 to the late John Hillock and Beatrice Hillock. Larry is also preceded in death by his sisters, Editha Kapoor and Lucille Floss and grandson, Kyle Hillock. Larry was raised in Grand Island, New York and served in Vietnam with the United States Marine Corp. He retired from TRW in 2002 as a project manager. Larry started the first local chapter of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association in Warner Robins, GA. He was a member of The Warner Robins Noon Optimist Club. Larry enjoyed spending time outdoors camping, canoeing, and traveling across the country in his motorhome with his wife. He was an avid reader and enjoyed researching genealogy.  Larry was devoted to his wife, children and would never miss an opportunity to spend time with his grandchildren.

Larry is survived by his wife of 54 years, Dawn Merrill Hillock; children, Deanna Mines (Rodney), Larry Hillock, Jr. (Heather); grandchildren, Hannah Hillock, Trevor Mines, Erika Mines, Cameron Tagliaferi; siblings, John Hillock (Linda), Robert Hillock (Cindy), Linda Clark (Harold), Randon Hillock (Sue), Hilary Balderas, and numerous nieces and nephews.
