Obituary of George Alexander Base

George Alexander “Papi” Base passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 10, 2020 with his beloved wife at his side. A Funeral Service honoring his life will be held on Friday, January 15, 2021 at 2:00PM at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. A visitation with family and friends will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2021 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home.

Alex was born on October 9, 1978 in Edison, New Jersey to Celia Hewett-Hook and Richard Base. Alex was a man who loved his American and Greek Heritage and was often talking about the politics and  world history. Alex had a true passion for classic cars. Alex was a follower of the Lord and loved him dearly. Alex could often times be seen riding around town enjoying the natural beauty and living in the moment.

Alex is preceded in death by his beloved father, Richard Base.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Phadra Lewis-Base; Mother, Celia Hewett-Hook; Mother-in-law, Lois L. Cobb; Sister-in-law’s, LaTina Lewis, RaShanda Lewis-Falling (Pierre), Keyona Lewis-Daniel (Alvin). He is also survived by his dear friend, Samuel Bannister and a host of nieces and nephews as well as extended family members.
