Obituary of Robert Pate

Byron, Georgia – Robert Allen Pate, beloved husband, son, father, grandfather, brother and friend passed away unexpectantly on Friday, June 12, 2020.

Robert was a man a great faith and compassion with a kind heart and giving spirit. He loved his family passionately and thrived in his role as a grandfather. Robert Could often be found on his back porch with his loving wife watching the Blue Birds in the bird box. He was an avid outdoorsman, gardener and fisherman. Robert was a long time, faithful member of Byron Baptist Church. Although it is an incredible loss all to all that love him and mourn him, we can take comfort in knowing that he is kneeling at the foot of his Savior Jesus.

Robert is preceded in death by his loving father, Willie Pate, and his beloved grandson Nathan Pate.

His memory will forever be cherished by his loving Mother, Joan Pate; Wife, Jerredean Pate; Children, Sarah Marturano, Alex Pate (Bailey), and Jack Pate (Andi); Stepchildren, Sarah Bass ( Farrell), and John McDaniel; Grandchildren, Benjamin Pate, Chloe Pate, Jamison Pate, John Walker Bass, and Jacey Forbes; Brothers, Randy Pate (Jean), and Russell Pate (Rachel); Sister, Jenifer Murphy (David). He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews and extended family members.

A Funeral Service honoring his life will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at 3:00PM at Byron Baptist Church. A visitation with family and friends will be held prior to the service from 1:30PM to 3:00PM. Immediately following the services Robert will be laid to rest at the Byron City Cemetery.
