Obituary of Sharon L. Mohler

Sharon Lee Mohler passed away peacefully on Monday, January 6, 2020 with her loving family at her bedside. A visitation with family and friends will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home beginning at 1:30PM. A brief memorial service will begin at 2:30PM.

Sharon was born on April 3, 1953 to the late Robert Johnson and Ann Wakley in Lakeland, Florida. Sharon was a homemaker for the latter part of her life, but previously worked in the aviation industry. She was an avid gardner and showed her creativity through silk flower arrangements, faux finishing, and intricately detailed Christmas gingerbread houses. Sharon showed great kindness to others and would openly give away anything she had to those in need. She had great compassion for rescue animals and adopted many of them as her “children”. She loved Christmas and all holidays and took pride in decorating the exterior of her home for all of the neighborhood to enjoy.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters Susie Johnson and Sylvia Rice.

Her memory will forever be cherished by her loving husband of 51 years, Duane Mohler; children: Susan (James) Varnedore, Dawn (Brock) Snyder, and Yvonne (Steven) Housman; grandchildren: Anna Stevens, Garrett Anderson, Marissa Anderson, and Gavin Housman; sisters: Sheila Annazone and Sandy Showalter.
