Obituary of Robert F. Sampson

Warner Robins: Robert F. Sampson, 78, of Warner Robins died Saturday February 14, 2004. A Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home followed by a time of visitation. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Father Fred Nijem will officiate. Mr. Sampson, a native of Medford, MA, was the son of the late James and Catherine Hughes Sampson. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus for over 45 years, the adult choir and was a former head usher. He was also a WW II Army veteran and was retired from Robins AFB. Survivors include his wife Mary C. Happel Sampson of Warner Robins. Children; Nancy S. Jeff Jackson of Virginia Beach, VA, Karen M. Mark O’Brien of Atlanta and Peter F. Janet Sampson of England. Step-children; Tommy Tammy Happel and Marianne Carlton McDaniel all of Warner Robins. Siblings; Harry Sampson of Stoneham, MA, Richard Sampson of Arlington, MA, and Helen Corrigan of Somerville, MA Nine grandchildren and five step-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Building Fund or the Knights of Columbus, 250 S. Davis Dr., Warner Robins, GA 31088. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
